Soldiers, Searchlights and Secession: The Indo-Pakistani War of 1971

Indira Gandhi's Parliamentary Cabinet (India)

Indira Gandhi calls her cabinet at a critical time for the country. The split in Congress, the increasing cold with the United States, and the recent demise of two Prime Ministers has made Ms. Gandhi’s work that much harder over the past few years. She now expects her cabinet to put India’s interests first and help deal with any crises that may arise – from within or from across the border.
